THE ONE

What is it about love? Whether we are men or women, or animals, in some cases, we are geneticaly wired to believe in happily-ever afters. what is it about this one feeling, that we all of us spend all of our lives, literally searching for it. Waiting for it. Crying over it. Analysing it. Psychoanalysing it.

technically, or to be more specific,scientifically, love is an emotion that comes from the rush of hormones into our bloodstream, making us feel happier, lighter, better about ourselves. not to mention the incredible sex drive.and then come the questions, the tears, the heartbreak  and in most cases, the break -up. And inevitably, after we are done with one person, two weeks or months, or years, or whatever is the current "healing time" later, we are back on the wagon. the Love wagon.

it has been wired into us, biologially, socially, psycholigically and every other way possibly, that people are meant to be with each other. That we all need someone to love. to survive.

now, i may come off as a cyinic, and lets face it, maybe i am, but i would like to know, is there an expiration date on this belief?

with the kind of divorce and break-up rate, the country, indeed the world is going through, is it really alright for us to still believe in the concept of the ONE?

and not do it once, but again and again and again. And if that is the case, then the man or the woman who has had several successful relationships, aren't they taking away, somebody else's right to love and happily ever after, if we do subscribe to the theory of the ONE?

a very dear friend of mine said that THE One is just like a big gift, who's being wrapped now, by God who is just waiting for the right moment to give it to you. Well, maybe God lost my address.

i am not saying, the love is untrue, sum 1 who i know, reminded me it isnt. and i am not saying that it wont happen to me someday.
What i am saying is that How do we know, if he or she is the ONE? Maybe we all of us have several ONEs or almost Ones. I know i am not ready for love. or maybe it is the other way around. and maybe it will hit me when i least expect it.

but should i waste all of my life wondering who is the ONE? Should i wait for pulse-pounding, messy, inconvenient, togeteher forver kinda love? I dont know.

Someone very close to me told me that i have no choice in love. and maybe that's true too. i dont know
What i do know is, it's time that i figured out my choices, before i narrow it down to ONE.

what can i say about books?
that i love them?
i adore them?
that they ar gods?
best freinds?
nightmares?
religion?

there arent enuff words in the world to descreibe how i feel about them
but maybe, i shud be asking, what do my books feel about me!

Life just bugs you sumtimes...
today was one of those days
when u r ready to go and be your own person.... instead of thet, your srtuck in  classroom full of people with similar notions and nowhere to go..
what do we do then?
we go off tom places unknown in our heads

i was off today i  Ireland.. country of my dreams
green grass, blue summer sky, smell of spring in the air, a laptop and me are maiking intense life between us and hey presto! life was all beter
this happened in the lats few momnets of lecs though, so most of the "productive" college working hours were spent bitching and  grumbling and griining at self-agony!

but i'm still biting my tongue all week

jus saw the concluding episodes of Sex and The City
 and have decided, the only reason to be Carrie Bradshaw would be for the shoes

i mean, even more than the b'hopping, the shoes and clothes are to die for...
and to think that they would never, ever make Sex and the City in India!!!

sigh, sigh

have no words to explain recent trgaedy, except to ask... WHY NOT MANTRALAYA?
i mean, imagine if they had bombed the political hub og mumbai 7 times....
